As part of the SYSCID Symposium we will organise a poster session and a series of Rapid Fire Talks (i.e. succinct 5-minutes talks) aimed at young scientists with research experience at the late phase of their PhD studies as well as at the medical specialist or post-doc levels (or an equivalent academic training). Everyone submitting an abstract will have the opportunity to present a poster. In addition, out of all submissions, ten Rapid Fire Talks in total will be selected.
For those researchers selected for a talk, accommodation and travel costs will be covered by the SYSCID project. In addition, the travel award will entail the participation in a summer course directly following the SYSCID Symposium on 30 August 2022. The summer course will include a lab tour of the facilities at the Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology (IKMB), Kiel University alongside a training module (demonstration/hands on) in single cell data analysis and integration with other data layers. More details on the programme will be published in due course.
The summer course will also be open for a number of participants, whose abstracts were not selected for a Rapid Fire Talk and the corresponding travel grant. Further information will be provided together with the notification on the selection and acceptance of abstracts.
The deadline for the abstract submission (poster & potentially Rapid Fire Talk) is: 30 June 2022
We cordially invite you to submit your abstracts and are looking forward to receiving your contributions. Thank you very much in advance for your support!
Selection and Acceptance of Abstracts
The organising committee will review the abstracts and notify the authors in good time before the meeting. The researchers selected Rapid Fire Talk will be informed in the middle of July.
